Remi's got the blues...he heard that it is almost Flea and Tick season...
We thought we would share some a couple of natural tips that could help him (and his four-legged partners in crime) enjoy the outdoors while giving their humans a little peace of mind
1. Add a teaspoon of raw Apple Cider Vinegar to every quart of water in your pet's water bowl. The smell repels fleas, helping to prevent them from latching onto your pup.
2. Dilute 1 drop of Lavender Essential Oil to 30 drops of a carrier oil (such as coconut oil or sweet almond oil) and rub that all over your dog, from his/her shoulders all the way to the base of their tail. As an added benefit, lavender has calming properties making this a win-win for dogs with anxiety.
3. Make your own Lemon Flea Spray by thinly slicing a whole lemon and adding to a pot of just boiled water. Let the lemon steep overnight and turn into a spray bottle. You can also add a sprig of rosemary for added benefits.
*Please note: we are not suggesting that you do replace anti-flea and tick medication, simply that you may want to consider including some more natural methods
